Le commerce à Hannut centre se divise en trois parties :

Le centre-ville qui propose le commerce indépendant, l’HoReCa et le secteur des services.
En entrée de ville, la rue de Landen offre un mix de surface alimentaire et du commerce notamment dédié à l’équipement de la maison ou de la personne.
La rue de Huy et son complexe L’Orchidée Plaza est dédiée aux loisirs.

Le fil conducteur dans la gestion de ces 3 pôles économiques est de garantir le développement harmonieux des 3 zones commerciales.

Les commerces du centre (environ 220 cellules) sont représentés par une union des commerçants. Depuis septembre 2021, la volonté est de tisser des liens avec les commerçants de la périphérie pour travailler ensemble à l’attractivité globale de la ville.

Hannut est très fier de présenter un taux de cellule vide proche de 7 % et un taux honorable d’efficience commerciale (77 %).

Ce dynamisme s’explique par plusieurs facteurs dont un des plus importants provient de la volonté de maintenir une offre commerciale en centre-ville.

Ainsi vous trouverez 200 commerçants indépendants en plein centre, une trentaine d’enseignes sur l’axe de la rue de Landen et une dizaine sur le site “Orchidée Plaza” sur la rue de Huy.

Historiquement, le coeur de ville s’est constitué autour de son carrefour entre la nationale 64 et la nationale 80.

Ce point d’ancrage reste essentiel aujourd’hui.
